With Christmas just around the corner, I was thinking about all the Egg Nog many people will be drinking. But what happens to the left over Egg Nog that no one wants to drink after the holidays are over? Here is a quick and simple recipe that utilizes that left over liquid and turns it into a delicious breakfast or brunch treat!

Equipment: 1 Medium Bowl, 1 Fork, 1 Measuring Cup, 1 Teaspoon, 1 Non-Stick Griddle, 1 Spatula
Ingredients: Egg Nog, Eggs, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Bread, and Butter
- Mix 3/4 cup of Egg Nog with 3 eggs, 1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg and as much cinnamon as you desire
- Dip 5 pieces of bread into your Egg Nog mix, one at a time, making sure to coat both sides of each piece of bread
- Turn the burner on your stove to medium heat and place your griddle on top
- Grease your griddle with a generous amount of butter
- Place two pieces of bread at a time on your griddle, allowing the bottom to turn a golden brown color before flipping with your spatula
- After flipping, allow the other side of the bread to turn a golden brown
- To ensure that your french toast is cooked through, check the center by cutting a small slice in the center of the bread

Equipment: 1 baking sheet, parchment paper, 1 bowl, 1 mixing spoon, a flat surface (to roll your cookie dough out on), 1 small knife, 1 cup, and 1 rolling pin
Ingredients: Sugar cookie mix (and the flour, butter, and eggs that your cookies require), and Jolly Rancher hard candies
- Mix together your sugar cookie ingredients as directed on the box/bag that you picked for this recipe. (My cookies used 3 Tbsp of added flour, 1 stick of butter, and 1 egg)
- After your cookie ingredients have formed a soft dough, spread some flour on a flat surface and on your rolling pin
- Roll your dough out until flat and about 1/4 of an inch thick
- Using the rim of an upside down cup, cut out your cookie circles
- Using your small knife, cut out your symbols inside your cookies, discarding the dough from the center of your shapes (this dough can be used again to make more cookies!)
- Place your cookies on a sheet of parchment paper on your baking sheet
- Place 1 Jolly Rancher inside the shape cut into each cookie
- Bake at 375 degrees (F) for 5-7 minutes
- Let your cookies cool for 10-20 minutes
